The Political Views of RMN
This was always going to be a bit risky so I've decided to post this in the Welp forum instead of the General one.
Try taking this test to see where you stand in the crazy world of politics!
Here are my results:
"You are a social democratic Cosmopolitan. 13 percent of the test participators are in the same category and 45 percent are more extremist than you."

Metal Gear Solid Movie Announced
Whoop~!
No word on actors or a director yet, so speculation is go! Personally I'd love to see David Hayter reprise his role and Harry Lloyd (Viserys Targaryen from Game of Thrones) as Liquid Snake. What about you guys?

'Postmodern' RM Games
I recently played through MGS2 (EDIT: That is METAL GEAR SOLID 2 sorry Calunio) and was, quite frankly, blown away by the game in the end. The complete and utter blatant disregard Hideo Kojima seemed to have for standard video games principles (at the time, at least) is pretty inspiring and I'd love to make a game built around such uncommon, arguably 'postmodern' ideas.
So I'm curious at to whether there are any RM games that were original/'postmodern' in terms of the method of storytelling (not necessarily graphics or battle systems or whatever). I guess Space Funeral would count in a way but I'd love to hear about anything else.

Happy birthday kentona!
Thought we should all join in and wish the real Mr. Anderson a joyful day filled with fun! And..joy!
[Request] Bahamut Lagoon sprites?
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had Bahamut Lagoon spritesheets consisting of each playable character's individual battling frames? I've checked on the major sprite resource websites but can't seem to find much besides the Dragons.
If anyone had readily made battle character sets for 2k3, that'd be one hell of a bonus but I'm not holding my breath. (^_^);;;
Thanks in advance!

Obligatory Last.fm Topic
If you use Last.fm, post a link to your account so we can be all pretentious together (here's mine). If you don't, it's a great way to keep track of what you're listening to, finding out about similiar artists or discovering entirely new music. Really recommended for 'branching out', so to speak.
Also, might set up an RMN group depending on how many people are interested.

Comedy Games
Apologies if this topic's been done before, but I'm planning on working on this idea I've had for a couple of months now but thought I should get some sort of feedback before going forth.
What does RMN think of amateur games designed purely for comedic value? Do you frown upon them universally? If not, can you think of any examples of geniunely funny games?
Also, what types of humour do you think amateur game developers should stay well clear of? For example, black comedy, slapstick, etc.
